songs for eating drinking [and money]
Filed Under Hip Hop Videos, Justo | Leave a Comment
We recently had the honor of participating in the filming of Chase Jarvis’ “Songs for Eating Drinking [and money]“. Basically there was a bunch of food, wine, video equipment, ill artists and live performances. It was definately one of the best times I’ve had at a Seattle music event.
Some of the participants included Jake One, DV One, Tha Stahi Bros, Fatal Lucciauno, Spaceman, the Saturday Knights, Grayskul, Cancer Rising, Nite Owls, J.Pinder, Dyme Def, GMK, Blue Scholars, Grynch, Macklemore, Common Market, Piece, the Physics, Mad Rad, Mr. Hill
Theses are just the first 2 videos of many that will be released in the comming months, we’ll post them as they come.

“Kenya-born Peter Gishuru, of Seattle, came to the U.S. in 1963 in the same program that brought Barack Obama’s father to the country.”
The Seattle Times featured my pops in a story on Kenyan-born citizens that immigrated to the U.S in the 60’s. The article touches on the connection that local Kenyans feel with our newly inaugurated President and speaks to Obama’s ability to connect with 1st and 2nd generation American citizens from all countries. You can read the rest of the article here.

Yo i’ve been bumpin this dope singer’s album for a number of weeks now. I first heard of Wayna through Gabe Teodros’ blog. I think he has done some shows with her or something. Anyhow, peep her video for “My Love” and you will see why “The dopest Ethiopian” is Wayna!
